Mission impossible? The perfect blueberry muffin

I spent a good amount of last summer baking. Yes, I know it's crazy to even think about turing on an oven in 40°C weather, but if I wasn't termed crazy before, researching and writing one's thesis without much contact to the outside world will have that effect on you. Amongst the things I made (such as this easy cake) were blueberry muffins. Lots of different kinds of blueberry muffins. In hope to find The One. The one that would end the search for the perfect blueberry muffin. 

I might be the pickiest girl in the world, because I tried Allrecipes' To Die For Blueberry Muffins, which 4668 people had given a 4.5 star rating and 79106 people had bookmarked, and wasn't convinced (hey, I'm looking for that 5.0 rating, what can I say). I baked up Ruth Reichl's blueberry muffins, a woman who was both New York Times restaurant critique as well as the editor for Gourmet Magazine and who definitely knows what she's talking about - and while they were delicious, no doubt, they weren't exactly what I was looking for. Even the Sophisticated Gourmet's perfect blueberry muffins were truly almost perfect. A normal person would have been able to die happy after biting into them. But I think we already established above that I am, ahem, crazy.

And so my search continues. And maybe you can help me out. Do you think you have the best blueberry muffin recipe? One good enough to win me over and end my quest? Then please, please e-Mail me.
